Hello and welcome!
My name is Katie Beyea, but my students call me Ms. Beyea. Other than teaching, I love animals (especially cats and giraffes), boating, going to the beach, swimming, dancing, singing, and spending time with my family and friends. I grew up in Shapleigh, Maine with an older brother and a younger sister. From there, I went to Farmington, Maine for my undergraduate education at the University of Maine at Farmington and North Andover, Massachusetts for my graduate education at Merrimack College. I now live in Saco with my two cats, Seymour and Smiles.
I’ve had many rewarding experiences working with children, but I am very lucky to be doing my favorite one now: teaching second grade! This is my sixth year teaching second grade, and my third year at Windham Primary School. My goal in the classroom is to make learning meaningful and fun for everyone! It is important to me that students enjoy their day at school while making progress academically and socially. I hold high expectations for myself as a teacher and for students as well.
