Mr. Reidy school social worker
Welcome back to a new school year!
My name is John Reidy and I am the social worker here at the Primary School - this is my 11th year in this role. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Masters Degree from the University of New England. I have spent my entire Twenty-Three year career working with children and families in Massachusetts and Maine.
This school year I look forward to working with you and your child so he/she may achieve not only academic success, but positive, social and emotional growth as well. As a School Social Worker, I assist in addressing social, emotional, or behavioral problems that affect students’ school functioning. My primary responsibilities are to provide the social work services to Regular and Special Education Students here at the Primary School. Other duties include connecting families with community resources and services, consulting with staff, students and parents, and classroom interventions and prevention. I am also a member of our schools Student Support team.
