About Ms. Paulus...

Hello!

 

This summer I made the Big Move to Maine from California, where I have lived and taught in the Monterey Bay Area for many, many years. Why such a big move? I have two beautiful grand-baby girls (WPS Graduating Classes of 2028 and 2030) and I seized this opportunity to live closer and be an active partner in their young lives.

 

In my time as a teacher I have taught all grades from toddler to college undergrads, including teaching teachers how to bring creative educational technologies into their classrooms. For the past 16 years, I have worked in an arts charter school where I integrated arts projects-- visual, movement, theater, music, and media arts-- into my daily lessons.

 

I dabble in the arts myself. I play several instruments, enjoy working on watercolor and charcoal projects, and have written/directed student theatrical presentations throughout my career. I enjoy gardening and taking daily dawn/dusk walks with my dog, Charlie. Charlie and my six formerly-feral cats are happily settling into our new home.

 

I am very excited to be joining the Windham Primary School family this year as a 3rd Grade teacher in B House. Let's learn together!
