It is my pleasure to welcome you to First Grade! As you know, it can be one of the most exciting and life-changing years in your child’s educational career. My goal is for each child to LOVE learning! This passion for learning stems from exposure to new experiences, developmentally appropriate activities, group and peer interaction and a spiritually warm environment. A critical part of developing children’s intellectual, social and emotional well-being is connecting school activities with the child’s life at home. Please know that we are partners in education and I value your input and constant support.
It is with great pleasure that I wish to introduce myself to you and your child. As a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University, I hold my Masters of Education and dual teaching certification in both the state of Maine as well as Connecticut. I earned BA degree in Cultural Anthropology and completed my internship at the Yale Peabody Museum in New Haven, CT. I began my teaching career in kindergarten and since then have taught both second and first grade. In 2016, my family and I moved to Maine where I joined the WPS family of teachers and staff. I have been teaching a total of 14 years and have enjoyed every minute of it!
I welcome you into my class and look forward to the journey we have ahead. Congratulations on all you have accomplished thus far and I cannot wait to see where we can go together.
Teaching is who I am and I am committed to ensuring your child’s educational success. The adventure is about to begin and endless possibilities await us.
