I'm thrilled to begin my 12th year at Windham Primary School. I have taught both 2nd and 3rd grade over the years. I'm lucky to live and work in Windham with my husband (who also teaches here) and our two young children.
I work with an amazing team that includes Mrs. Hopkins, Mrs. Whidden, Mrs. Espejo and various volunteers and other support staff. We work together to meet the needs of all the learners in our learning community.
I feel fortunate to have two jobs at our school. Along with teaching, I work as an Instructional Leader where I work closely with Dr. Rhoads and Mrs. Jordan on our Leadership Team to support students and staff at WPS. When I'm fulfilling these responsibilities on Mondays and Tuesdays, Mrs. Espejo is with our learners.
Some things to look forward to this year:
- STEM experiments
- Customized learning environment
- Mornings Meetings and direct social skills instruction including mindset, perseverance and conflict resolution to help build strong classroom community and interpersonal skills.
- Technology integrated into lessons and activities
- Guided Reading Instruction
- Writing Units of Study
- And much more!
When I'm not at school, I love doing anything outside with my friends and family. We love fishing, hiking, snowshoeing, canoeing and enjoying time at the ocean or lakes.
